Delegated Underwriting Claims Analyst

We are currently recruiting for a Delegated Underwriting Claims Analyst on behalf of our client, one of the industry's most highly respected and top performing Lloyd's Syndicates.

The successful candidate will oversee and control outsourced adjusting service providers, including Coverholders and Delegated Claims Administrators (DCAs), on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiating, issuing and updating new and in-force Delegated Claims Administrators (DCA) Agreements, Coverholder claims wordings, and declarations for existing DCA contracts.
  • Collaborating with management to complete claims DA audit actions, including scheduling, scoping, report review, recommendation issuance and closure.
  • Managing Delegated Authorities Claims Performance, attending meetings, completing DCA assessments, identifying performance outliers using data sets, and following up on performance outside of tolerance.
  • Loss fund management processes, including actions relating to loss fund management reporting, optimisation, setting up of Vitesse accounts, and actions associated with delivery of Vitesse FCP project.
  • Maintaining accurate claims delegated authorities records and information.
  • Running regular DA pre/post bind reports, and completing the associated processes.
  • Working with management to deliver actions for Delegated Claims projects and initiatives, including project planning, tracking progress, resolving blockers, and business analysis activities.
  • Responding to technical claim-specific queries from Coverholders, DCAs, and DXC on delegated authority-related business.
  • Assisting management with monitoring delegated claims performance through open and closed file reviews and thematic reviews.
  • Collaborating with the Delegated Authorities Data Manager in relation to all claims bordereaux processes.
  • Ensuring adherence to Lloyd’s DA Claims Principles, and updating processes and internal procedures as required, in line with the Delegated Underwriting Process and controls frameworks.
  • Attending market delegated claims meetings and other delegated claims related meetings, including membership of relevant insurance market committees and organisations.

Key Requirements

  • Must have previous experience within a similar role, gained within the Lloyd's and/or London Market.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
