Arthur is excited to be partnering with highly reputable Lloyd's Syndicate who is looking to hire a Head of Third Party Claims to join their London market claims department. In this role you will be responsible for managing my clients third-party claims, overseeing the claims team and administrators, and ensuring exceptional service while meeting regulatory and compliance standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the third-party claims team to deliver top-tier service and performance
  • Support underwriters with significant claims, policy advice, and market development
  • Enhance the company's market presence through conferences, broker meetings, and marketing efforts
  • Assist the Head of Claims in maintaining high-quality claims service
  • Ensure team development through training and process improvements
  • Manage third-party claims to timely resolution, working with actuaries on long-term claims developments
  • Oversee external service suppliers like legal advisors and adjusters
  • Collaborate with the reinsurance team for reporting and recovery
  • Ensure full compliance with the company's claims standards and regulatory requirements
Role Requirements:
  • Proven leadership and team development experience
  • Strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a focus on operational efficiency
  • Skilled at managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ECF systems
Experience & Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience managing third-party claims, especially in the UK, Canada, and Australia
  • Expertise in PI, FI, D&O, and Casualty claims
  • Experience with Lloyd’s and strong relationships within the insurance market
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legal claims requirements
PRA Conduct Standards:
  • Act with integrity, care, and diligence.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and oversee delegated responsibilities
  • Protect policyholders’ interests and disclose relevant information to regulators
