Marine Claims Technician - City Of London

Base Salary to 45k (Neg) Bonus to 10% of Salary, PMI, Season Ticket Loan and Flex Benefits

Primary purpose of the role

Professional handling of Marine Cargo and Marine Liability claims for the UK and Ireland, resulting in customer satisfaction, customer retention, avoidance of litigation, avoidance of unjustified claims payment / commercial settlements.

Accurate financial and administrative management of Marine Cargo and Marine Liability claims through Claims Management System, including effective e-filing system.

To provide transparency in claim statistics through reporting to the national and regional management on monthly or quarterly basis.

Active recoveries against subcontractors

Ensure that all claims are handled and processed in line with the Claims Centre operating procedures.

Key Accountabilities

Claims Handling & Recoveries incl. Reporting and accurate administration / reserve setting

Implementation & maintenance of Global Claims Procedures

Support contract review in respect of marine liability / insurance requirements

Branch trainings on marine cargo insurance/transport law/marine liability

Comply with KPIs and internal disciplines and continually review and propose improvements.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years’ Experience in a relevant position
