** NEW VACANCY **Reinsurance Claims Adjuster - London

Salary: up to £60,000

Experience: 1+ years experience handling London Market Claims (any line of business but Property, Engineering, Construction & Specialty is preferred)

No Reinsurance Claims experience is required for this role, but is a big advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working within an agreed authority for claims handling across a diverse range of claims and aligning with departmental objectives.
  • Receiving and responding to initial notifications and updates, determining coverage, and validating claims.
  • Managing claims electronically through ECF and participating in market meetings and conference calls when necessary.
  • Regularly meeting with underwriters to provide feedback on claims issues and sharing risk information to enhance overall underwriting quality within the company.
  • Notifying and reporting claims notifications to underwriters and senior management as needed.
  • Actively attending market meetings and conference calls when relevant and necessary.
  • Ensuring fair treatment of customers at all times.
  • Complying with Lloyd's Minimum Standards.
  • Performing additional tasks such as handling static claims, managing schedules, and undertaking project work as required.
  • Taking a leading role in other miscellaneous activities or projects as need.
