Senior Claims Adjuster - Marine . to c£100,000

This well established and highly regarded Loyd's Underwriters has an excellent market reputation and is now looking for an experienced Senior Marine Claims Adjuster.

The main responsibility of the successful Claims Agjuster will be managing the syndicate's lead and follow US and International Marine Hull, Cargo and Liability claims.

Duties:

Responsible for handling Marine claims for the syndicate

Provision of cover and technical guidance to other team members.

Negotiation and liaison with clients, brokers, loss adjusters and lawyers, including overseas travel where necessary.

Attendance at market meetings.

Work on accurate and timely case reserving as an important feed into the reserving process.

Provide underwriters with feedback on claims issues, wordings and related risk information to improve the overall quality of underwriting.

Attend internal class reserve meetings with underwriting and actuarial to advise on current estimates of significant claims impacting the class.

Liaising with external claims administrators, potentially including the carrying out of claims and procedural audits.

Review and consider with underwriters the interpretation of policy wordings.
