The Vacancy

Responsible for gathering objective claim data and subjective non-data inputs for the use of the Claims Leadership Team in evaluating the portfolio, driving outcome improvements, and engaging with relevant stakeholders to influence the direction of the business. Works cross functionally to collect data and share insights related to key drivers of portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works cross-functionally to gather both data and non-data inputs to derive actionable and meaningful insights.
  • Responsible for the development of Portfolio and Customer data improvements.
  • Design and maintain data reporting for governance controls.
  • Prepares Claims Leadership Team for Reserve Committees and Portfolio Management Reviews.
  • Prepares presentations for the Claims Executives for Pre Board and Board meetings as necessary..
  • Process improvement including support of claims systems development.
  • Develop and maintain resource and triage modelling.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Understanding of business objectives and the market in which we operate.
  • Understanding of claims case reserving practices.
  • Ability to drive results by identifying and resolving problems within scope of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
  • Ability to learn and understand claim handling practices and procedures.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical ability.
  • Understanding of claims practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

Some or all of the following will be beneficial:

  • Basic SQL query writing.
  • Creating reports in Business Objects, Tableau or similar tool.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
