New Vacancy - Senior Claims Specialist (Casualty)Lloyd's SyndicateCity of LondonI am currently recruiting for a leading Lloyd's Syndicate who are seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to join their team.My client is looking for someone with experience across most, if not all of the following classes: E&O and D&O, Medical Malpractice, FI, General Liability including EL/PL, Reinsurance, Warranty and Indemnity, US and RoW Casualty and US Marine and Energy Liability from a Lloyd's and Company background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Skilled in negotiating settlements, attending market meetings, and authorising claims.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Casualty claims portfolio from initial notification to closure, tailoring involvement based on the claim's nature, type, category, maturity, and value.
  • Serve as the technical point of reference for the entire claims team.
  • Develop, document, communicate, and implement claims strategies, factoring in uncertainties, key decisions, potential outcomes, and estimated costs.
  • Review individual claims within the portfolio, ensuring reserves and records are maintained and updated as needed.
  • Identify issues and trends within the portfolio and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Provide valuable insights to underwriters during the review of potential or existing insured's claims experience.
  • Analyse and report on claims trends and developments, assessing their potential impact on the overall portfolio.
  • Attend external industry events to network and enhance the company's brand presence.
  • Collaborate closely with Underwriters, Finance, and Claims teams both in London and internationally.
