Purpose of the Role:

To provide comprehensive support to the Claims team in overseeing and managing relationships with Third Parties and appointed experts. This role also involves assisting with claims reporting and analysis, systems oversight, and providing support to the broader business as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Claims Operations:

  • Support the Claims Operations function in developing and implementing "best practice" processes and technologies for the Claims team and wider business.
  • Analyse and present data relevant to claims performance and operations.
  • Assist with change projects involving claims operations.

Delegated Authority Oversight:

  • Oversee and manage the framework governing third-party relationships, including Delegated Claims Administrators and appointed experts.
  • Maintain and manage the Risk Matrix for expert relationships.
  • Manage contracts with experts and third parties, ensuring compliance with agreements.
  • Monitor third-party adherence to SLAs using Delegated Claims Data.
  • Oversee the due diligence process prior to contracting with experts and third parties.
  • Coordinate audits and maintain audit records, including tracking recommendations.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in data management, performance MI, and operational effectiveness in Delegated Authority teams.
  • Familiarity with Lloyd’s of London Delegated Authority regulatory compliance and minimum standards.
  • ACII qualification (preferred) or a commitment to achieving this.
  • General understanding of underwriting and reinsurance practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong relationship management, numeracy, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to review and relate contracts to regulatory and company standards.

  • Administration and Compliance: Operate in line with regulatory standards, ensuring contracts adhere to compliance requirements.
