We are currently recruiting for a US Casualty Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a Lloyd’s Syndicate in the London market.

The successful candidate will predominantly handle a portfolio of US Casualty / General Liability Claims.

Both day rate and fixed term contract options are available for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling a portfolio of Casualty claims from first advice to settlement, across both Open Market and Binding Authority placements.
  • Interacting with key internal and external stakeholders on claims related matters.
  • Servicing brokers and clients, providing prompt and efficient claims resolution within clearly defined authority limits.
  • As appropriate, appointing and managing experts to assist in claims investigation and resolution.
  • Assisting in the monitoring of key risk claims and trends by collating data and reports.
  • Helping to provide regular feedback to senior management and underwriters.
  • Contributing to the strategy for the Claims Team, and ensuring its successful delivery.
  • Helping to maintain strong relationships with the Underwriters.
  • Working under the direction and supervision of the Claims Manager, and assisting as required with all aspects of Casualty claims adjustment and associated reporting.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of US Casualty Claims.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good mathematical and report writing skills.
