HFG are currently representing an insurance broker actively seeking an experienced IBA Technician who has in-depth knowledge of treaty contracts and in particular Proportional accounting. Also possess a knowledge of other technical disciplines and a strong general understanding of the insurance industry and is able to solve complex problems while taking a new perspective on providing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing own technical case load.

  • Works independently to handle all aspects of proportional accounting, including create, calculate and process portfolio and profit commissions on behalf of client when required.

  • Works with team to manage wider team case load as required, especially during busy periods.

  • Takes lead for their own accounts, responding to queries and liaising across business departments to actively resolve accounts in a timely manner.

General Skills & Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of internal policies and procedures.

  • Strong knowledge of IBA Client, Underwriter and Bureau functions and processes.

  • Understanding of the principles of insurance.

  • Strong understanding of Proportional Treaty insurance and methods of accounting used in this area.

  • Ability to identify, analyse and act upon key information.
