HFG are currently representing an insurance broker actively seeking an experienced IBA Technician who has in-depth knowledge of treaty contracts and in particular Proportional accounting. Also possess a knowledge of other technical disciplines and a strong general understanding of the insurance industry and is able to solve complex problems while taking a new perspective on providing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Managing own technical case load.

Works independently to handle all aspects of proportional accounting, including create, calculate and process portfolio and profit commissions on behalf of client when required.

Works with team to manage wider team case load as required, especially during busy periods.

Takes lead for their own accounts, responding to queries and liaising across business departments to actively resolve accounts in a timely manner.
General Skills & Experience:

In-depth knowledge of internal policies and procedures.

Strong knowledge of IBA Client, Underwriter and Bureau functions and processes.

Understanding of the principles of insurance.

Strong understanding of Proportional Treaty insurance and methods of accounting used in this area.

Ability to identify, analyse and act upon key information.
