PURPOSE OF ROLE 

Lawes are currently working with an established broker who due to growth are recruiting for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their Insurance Accounts team. 

If you have experience in reconciliation, Bordereaux processing, and financial reporting, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! 

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in reconciliation and processing activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and clear communication with stakeholders. You'll support finance operations, manage payments, and maintain high standards in account reconciliation.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Process and reconcile insurance accounts, including Bordereaux
  • Ensure business reporting follows client protocols
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Liaise with finance managers, underwriters, and brokers
  • Analyse monthly and quarterly Bordereaux statistics
  • Attend regular meetings with the outsourced Bordereaux team
  • Support finance and operational tasks as needed

EXPERIENCE 

  • Background in insurance finance, reconciliation, or Bordereaux processing
  • Experience working with stakeholders such as underwriters, brokers, and finance teams
  • Knowledge of insurance reporting processes and financial data management

SKILLS 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in project management and financial reconciliation
  • Knowledge of insurance finance and reporting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
