I am partnered with an exceptional global law firm in their search for a Senior E-Billing Specialist to join their London office. The role is part of a billing team of five and reports to an experienced Accounts Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced e-biller looking for a new role!

Day duties of the role:

  • Ensure the timely processing of e-bills.
  • Handle rejection management.
  • Upload accruals and budgets, and monitor budget spend.
  • Review and summarise engagement letters pertaining to special financial arrangements.
  • Implement and maintain special fee/cost rate structures in the client/matter database.
  • Responsible for the implementation of firm-wide e-billing setups related to rate proposals, timekeeper and rate uploads, opening e-billing matters, diagnosing connectivity and configuration issues, monitoring the e-billing status of submitted invoices, liaising with Billing Specialists on e-billing tasks, and updating e-billing sites and login information for vendors.
  • Assist with the testing of billing system enhancements and system upgrades.
  • Perform other billing responsibilities as needed, including distribution, logging, preparation, processing, and mailing of client billing.
  • Provide additional support for Billing Specialists during peak times, holidays, and absences.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or required.

The right candidate will need:

  • 3+ years of e-billing experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of VAT.
  • Excellent knowledge of Solicitors' Account Rules.
  • Understanding and experience of billing in foreign currencies.
  • Prior experience with electronic billing and principles of billing, accounts receivables, accounts payables, internal costs, collections, billing rates, and client maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of and interest in technology and electronic systems such as eBill Hub, LegalTracker, Collaborati, CounselLink, etc.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, iManage, and other firm applications after initial training.
  • Available to work overtime, as required.
