Arthur is partnering with a global insurance company seeking an Assistant Underwriter to join their Middle Market Property & Casualty team.In this role, you will work closely with the underwriters to price and assess coverage, structure, and exposure levels for individual risks.Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and prioritize new and renewal submissions to identify accounts with the highest profit potential, aligning with business plans and corporate profit objectives.
  • Set appropriate terms and conditions in accordance with the company's underwriting strategy and guidelines for qualified risks.
  • Engage in client and broker meetings and participate in networking events such as lunches, dinners, and other relevant social gatherings.
  • Maintain disciplined underwriting and pricing practices to meet profitability goals, ensuring compliance with underwriting standards, systems, and procedures.
  • Expand the business portfolio by cultivating existing relationships and developing new client opportunities.
We are eager to speak with candidates who have cross-class underwriting experience within the middle market sector, along with a minimum of 3 years in P&C underwriting.Strong candidates will demonstrate excellent negotiation skills and outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
