As they continue to expand, we are looking for a talented Junior Underwriter to join their fully remote team.

Role Overview:

As a Junior Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the underwriting team in assessing and processing loan applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to develop their underwriting skills in the fast-paced bridging finance sector. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and keen to contribute to the growth and success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the initial review and assessment of loan applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Support senior underwriters in evaluating the creditworthiness of applicants by analysing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
  • Verify applicant information, including income, employment history, and property details, to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and maintain underwriting reports, documenting findings and recommendations for each application.
  • Liaise with brokers, clients, and internal teams to gather additional information as needed and provide updates on the status of loan applications.
  • Ensure all underwriting processes and decisions comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a financial services role, preferably within lending or underwriting.
