Job title: Motor Underwriter
Salary: £40k-£70k
Location: London - Hybrid
Roles available: One senior and one mid level.
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled Motor Underwriter to join our clients team in the City of London (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of motor underwriting experience and possess strong knowledge of insurance product features and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Underwrite personal motor insurances within agreed guidelines and authority levels.
- Underwrite new and existing businesses, provide quotes, and negotiate pricing.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with brokers, providing technical support.
- Provide high-quality customer service and handle all queries.
- Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued to brokers or customers.
- Liaise with other departments such as Claims, Finance, and IT.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3+ years of motor underwriting experience
- Knowledge of insurance product features and processes.
- Good knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and negotiating skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- CII qualification is desirable.
DAY TO DAY
- Underwriting personal motor insurances.
- Developing and maintaining broker relationships.
- Providing technical support to brokers.
- Ensuring accurate policy documentation.
- Liaising with various internal departments.
