As an Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and commissioning integrated Building and Energy Management Systems (BEMS). You will work with Niagara, Schneider, Trend, and other platforms, ensuring seamless communication between BMS and third-party systems. This role will involve both on-site commissioning and cloud-based system integration, supporting large-scale smart building projects.
This flexible role will primarily be based Coulsdon however may require occasional travel to projects around London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop BMS and MSI software designs, ensuring seamless integration with third-party systems.
- Implement and troubleshoot BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, and other standard protocols.
- Read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and points lists.
- Support factory testing and on-site commissioning, resolving integration issues.
- Collaborate with project engineers and design teams to optimise software and integration strategies.
- Ensure all projects meet high technical standards and comply with contract specifications.
- Work with commissioning teams to diagnose and resolve integration issues.
- Identify and propose enhancements to system designs for improved performance.
- Lead workshops to address design risks and system optimisations.
- Provide guidance and support for software standardisation across projects.
- Work efficiently within project budgets and time constraints.
- Identify and report additional work opportunities, ensuring extra costs are captured.
- Submit weekly timesheets for job-costing and project tracking.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and solutions-focused team culture.
Skilled Required:
- Experience integrating BMS systems, including Trend, Distech, Tridium, and Delta.
- Strong knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, and other communication protocols.
- Understanding of control system software and its interaction with third-party systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, panel drawings, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work within project deadlines.
- IT proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.
- CSCS cardholder (or willingness to obtain one).
- Manufacturer training certifications (e.g. Tridium, Schneider).
- Experience with cloud-based integrations using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of IP networks and system topologies.
- Familiarity with smart building concepts, including naming conventions and advanced integrations.
