Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Okta Integration Engineer & Administrator to join a dynamic IT migration and integration team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the integration and optimisation of Okta identity and access management (IAM) solutions, supporting the transition of users and systems following the acquisition of new businesses. This role involves ensuring seamless, secure access for new users, integrating acquired applications, and providing ongoing support for IAM processes. If you have a strong background in Okta administration, IAM best practices, and integration development, this is the perfect opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Okta Integration & Development: Design, develop, and implement Okta integrations across multiple systems and applications. This includes configuring Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and custom provisioning to streamline user access and enhance security. Leverage Oktas API and integration tools to create scalable, efficient, and secure IAM solutions.
  • Platform Optimisation & Customisation: Tailor Okta application configurations to meet the specific needs of acquired systems, ensuring that security policies, roles, workflows, and access controls are optimised for functionality and compliance. Enhance Oktas capabilities by customising settings to align with organisational requirements.
  • Operational Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary point of contact for Okta-related support issues, troubleshooting integration challenges, and providing solutions for IAM and user access control. Address configuration issues promptly to maintain a seamless access experience.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain detailed documentation for Okta integration processes, configurations, and workflows. Ensure all technical details are thoroughly documented for future reference and share insights with teams to promote best practices and consistency in identity management.
  • Collaborative Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with technical teams, business analysts, and end-users to understand IAM requirements, gather feedback, and implement improvements. Support the integration of new applications and users, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to business operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

  • Okta Certified Administrator with experience in developing Okta-based IAM solutions.
  • Extensive IAM Experience: In-depth knowledge of identity and access management processes, with particular focus on user access transitions and integration during acquisition processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and Okta integration techniques, with the ability to implement complex security and access management solutions using Oktas platform.
  • Development Skills: Hands-on experience in developing and configuring Okta API integrations to automate provisioning, streamline access management, and improve security workflows.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Large-Scale Transition Projects: Familiarity with IAM and access management in the context of corporate acquisitions, including the complexities of integrating diverse applications, systems, and user environments.
  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills: Proven ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve integration and configuration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Documentation & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document complex technical processes clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
