A leading city-based Insurer is looking to appoint an Underwriting Analytics Engineer to join their Actuarial & Underwriting Analytics team. This is commercially focused role and you will own and develop a forward-thinking analytics suite to elevate the team and help the company's key business challenges.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:* Have strong knowledge of insurance processes and KPIs e.g. Pricing, Reserving and Underwriting practices* Have experience in Insurance Accounting, or familiarity with London Market specialty business lines for Insurance coverages and data. * Expert programming and data manipulation skills using SQL and Python* Strong data visualisation skills and experience with Power BI is necessary* Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders both internal and externally across the Company.* Demonstrated ability to thrive with minimal oversight and process. You connect the dots across business needs and independently drive projects forward.* Experience building data modelling, building data pipelines and working with job scheduling systems is a bonus.* Experience working with 3rd party APIs for data ingestion is a plus.* Advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field or relevant industry experience
