Threat Intelligence Analyst – 3-month contract – Remote

My customer is seeking a highly skilled Threat Intelligence Analyst to play a pivotal role in identifying, researching, and assessing cyber and non-cyber threats to their business.

The role of the Threat Intelligence Analyst is to assist the business in identifying and analyzing various cyber threats that could impact the financial services industry. These risks might involve typical cyber-attacks, but could also stem from other areas, like improper employee screening during recruitment. The analyst will need to evaluate these threats with both the company’s operations and the wider financial industry in mind, and then provide reports and insights to the appropriate internal teams.

Primary day to day responsibilities for the Threat Intelligence Analyst will include:

  • Threat Identification: Monitor and identify emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors affecting the financial services industry.
  • Research & Assessment: Conduct in-depth research on both traditional cyber-attacks (e.g., malware, phishing, ransomware) and non-traditional threats (e.g., insider threats due to inadequate vetting).
  • Contextual Analysis: Analyze threats in the context of our business operations and the wider financial industry to evaluate potential risks and impacts.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed reports and briefings to relevant internal stakeholders, translating complex technical information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT security, HR, risk management, and other departments to develop and implement strategies for threat mitigation.
  • Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, threat actors, and regulatory changes impacting cybersecurity within the financial sector.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of threat intelligence processes, tools, and methodologies within the organization.

The Threat Intelligence Analyst would be working remotely for the duration of the 3 month contract with potential ad hoc travel to London.
