RESIDENTS LIAISON / COMMUNICATIONS EXECUTIVE
•   Location: Farringdon, London  and  Nottingham•   Job Type: Full-time, permanent•   Hybrid Working•   Salary:     Farringdon, London: £40,184-42,298  Beeston, Nottingham: £36,165-£38,068One of the largest housing associations in the UK is seeking candidates to fill 3 roles - a Press Officer, Residents Communication Executive and Public Affairs executive to engage media on behalf of our organisation and stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for creating impactful messaging and a deep understanding of public affairs and media relations.These roles provide an opportunity to engage audiences and build an understanding of our organisation on a range of issues from housing affordability to tenant satisfaction to sustainability.Corporate Affairs is a diverse team sitting at the heart of the organisation. We support the delivery of the organisation’s strategy by:•   Supporting the operational effectiveness of our services through clear, informed and respectful communications with our residents.•   ‘Bringing the outside in’ by helping our business understand how it is viewed by our audiences.•   Using data including polling, social listening and external benchmarking.Influencing behaviour, decision-making and public policy on behalf of our residents and the organisation.Day-to-day of the role:•   Develop a thorough knowledge of our organisation, including its data and external influencing priorities, to articulate clear and strategic messaging.•   Deliver innovative and engaging communications materials such as press releases, social media posts, op-eds, and reactive press comments to ensure key audiences understand and engage with our work.•   Monitor media regularly, providing analysis of the media landscape to identify opportunities and risks.•   Manage a regular contact programme with key journalists and editors.•   Work collaboratively across teams to support key communications plans and ensure consistent, strategic messaging.•   Liaise with external agencies as necessary and contribute to communications planning meetings.•   Generate ideas for content, initiatives, and campaigns and provide spokespersonship as required.•   Prepare high-quality briefing materials for senior colleagues ahead of media appearances and coach colleagues for media and other public appearances.Required Skills & Qualifications:•   Demonstrable flair for impactful messaging, able to develop clear and succinct messaging from complex material.•   Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse situations, identify issues, and develop effective solutions through critical thinking and creativity.•   Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives that engage audiences.•   Proficiency in using various communications platforms and tools, including social media, web content management systems, and design software such as Canva.•   Interest in public policy, economics, social issues, and the housing association sector.•   Understanding of resident needs and diverse community dynamics, with an interest in fostering resident involvement and engagement.•   Ability to analyse media performance metrics and derive actionable insights to inform strategy.To apply for the Press Officer position, please submit your CV and cover letter detailing your relevant experience to Wendy at Reed.
