Head of Interior Design – London Studio

As Head of Interior Design you will lead, inspire, and manage the talented Interior Design team, driving the conceptualisation, design, and delivery of exceptional interior spaces that exceed client expectations and align with project objectives. This senior role combines creative vision, strategic oversight, and operational leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Acting as a key liaison between clients, stakeholders, and the design team, the Head of Interior Design will oversee all stages of the design process, maintaining design integrity, fostering innovation, and ensuring consistent technical and conceptual excellence.
Additionally, this role will contribute to the growth and development of the studios Interiors business by managing the team's skill set, building strong client relationships, and collaborating with wider consultant teams to enhance the practice's reputation and success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Partner for Communication, Engagement & Interiors, and working closely with the Partner for Design, the Head of Interior Design will:

Lead, mentor, and manage the Interior Design team, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and a culture of design excellence.

Develop and implement design strategies that align with business objectives, market trends

Oversee multiple interior design projects from con¬cept to completion, ensuring innovative, functional, and high-quality outcomes that deliver award-win¬ning results on time and within budget.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, persuading existing clients to increase their Interior Design work.

Identify and pursue new opportunities across existing and new sectors, leading pitches to bring in new clients and projects that drive business growth.

Provide creative leadership and technical oversight across all projects, ensuring design integrity, technical competence, and adherence to industry standards to minimise risk.

Manage resources, budgets, and schedules effectively, balancing team capacity, project demands, and financial performance to ensure a profitable portfolio.

Coordinate seamlessly with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to deliver projects to the highest standards.

Establish and uphold design excellence, ensuring all outputs exceed client expectations and meet contractual and quality requirements.

Actively contribute to team growth by expanding the team's size, capability, and confidence to enhance the reputation for Interior Design.

Stay ahead of industry trends, fostering innovation and positioning as a leader in delivering interdisciplinary design solutions.

Represent the Interior Design team internally and externally to enhance its profile, influence, and reputation within the industry.

Directly support projects as needed, contributing to concept development, technical drawings, material specifications, and visual presentations
