Full-time: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Role Overview
The Furniture Consultant will be responsible for advising clients on furniture selection and procurement, ensuring that choices align with design vision, practical requirements, and budget considerations. A strong understanding of furniture design, sourcing, and project management is highly desirable, as the role involves overseeing standalone furniture projects as well as integrating furnishings within larger construction developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with clients, interior designers, and project managers to determine furniture requirements.
- Conducting detailed consultations to identify client preferences, needs, and budgets.
- Researching and sourcing high-quality furniture from a variety of manufacturers.
- Creating comprehensive furniture proposals and presentations, including itemised schedules, visual references, and pricing.
- Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain quotes, samples, and specifications.
- Overseeing the procurement process, including negotiation, ordering, and delivery tracking.
- Providing expert advice on furniture suitability, ergonomics, and functionality.
- Ensuring seamless integration of furniture within overall construction project timelines.
- Conducting site visits to assess space requirements and oversee furniture installation.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to offer innovative solutions.
