As Food and Beverage Stock Controller, you will be responsible for managing the supply cycle, from purchasing to invoicing. This includes overseeing delivery, storage, and inventory management. Additionally, you will supervise the team of Kitchen Porters who support these functions across our hotel concessions at Royal London House in Finsbury Square.

***We offer a weekly 48-hour contract, with early starts from 7am and some late finishes to midnight(on stock day)***

You will be available on Mondays to Sundays, ideally off on Fridays and Saturdays.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Coordinate the communication with all departments, bar, restaurant, lounge, kitchen, reception, loading bay in relation to stock ordering, maintenance and storage.
  • Submit orders of food and drinks and monitor and maintain dry and wet stock through regular counts.
  • Receive goods, checking quality and quantity; store, rotate and organize in compliance with food safety and storage guidelines, guaranteeing FIFO best practices.
  • Identify usage patterns collaborating with the all departments to meet par levels and reduce wastage.
  • Report and highlight any issues(quality and quantity) to management and liaise with suppliers on quality, invoicing and delivery schedule matters.
  • Record and keep documentation, including receipts, transfers and wastage; generate stock levels, usage and costs reports for management review.

The Food and Beverage Stock Controller plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations, minimizing costs, and ensuring that all items are readily available for guests.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 1+ year experience in a similar role, with understanding of inventory management principles, ideally in a hotel setting or a venue with multiple outlets.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and IT skills, with practiced use of inventory management systems and MS Office and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to get stuck in, supporting hands on the smooth operation of the delivery cycle.
