Working for a fast-paced global tech company, this is a newly created role that includes a mix of compliance management as well as business partnering and supporting on advisory projects. Reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax, the role will have visibility across the Group and will see you act as an adviser on global indirect tax matters (excluding US). Specific responsibilities include:

  • Managing technical indirect tax queries across the group's different product lines e.g. reviewing contracts, new product offerings, new markets
  • Drive continuous improvements in the VAT return process by improving system capabilities, increasing the quality of data used in VAT processes, creating efficient processes and leveraging shared service capabilities
  • Support the indirect tax team in implementing the international indirect tax strategy and supporting the growth of the international markets
  • Establish close relationships with finance to ensure any indirect tax impacts of business and legislation changes are communicated in a timely and clear manner, and solutions are provided accordingly

This would make an excellent first move in-house for candidates who have trained in indirect tax in the profession, similarly if you are working in-house currently and want to stretch your role or have greater scope to develop in a company that has demonstrated consistent growth, and continues to do so.
