Robert Half are exclusively partnering with a Private Equity firm to recruit an Investment Associate in London.

Position Overview: The Investment Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the team in analyzing potential investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and monitoring portfolio performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, financial modelling expertise, and a passion for private equity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analyses, including valuation modelling, cash flow analysis, and return projections for prospective investments.
  • Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for internal approval and investment committee meetings.
  • Perform market research and competitive analysis to assess industry trends and identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior team members on due diligence efforts, including gathering and analyzing data from management teams and external sources.
  • Track and report on the performance of portfolio companies, including financial performance and operational metrics.
  • Assist in the monitoring of market trends, sector news, and potential exit opportunities for existing investments.
  • Support the fundraising efforts by creating marketing materials and investor presentations as directed.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including advisors, consultants, and industry experts, to gain insights and validate key assumptions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; knowledge of financial databases
  • Excellent research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing presentations for senior management is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for private equity and an eagerness to learn about different industries and investment strategies.
