Paraplanner - Wealth Management Firm

Location: London (Hybrid)Salary: Up to £50,000 + up to 15% Bonus & Benefits

About the Role

An established and highly regarded wealth management firm is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to support its team of financial advisers in delivering high-quality financial planning solutions. This role offers excellent career progression opportunities, particularly for those looking to advance into an advisory, management, or compliance role in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Research & Analysis:
    • Conducting research on pensions, investments and protection solutions.
    • Assisting in financial planning and investment strategy development.
  • Report Writing & Compliance:
    • Drafting suitability reports and financial recommendations.
    • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Client Support & Liaison:
    • Working closely with financial advisers to provide seamless client service.
    • Attending client meetings when necessary to take notes and assist with technical queries.
    • Supporting the preparation of annual review documentation and cashflow modelling.
  • Administrative & Operational Duties:
    • Managing and maintaining client files and records.
    • Ensuring all compliance paperwork is accurate and up to date.
    • Assisting with investment and trade implementation.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent), with a desire to progress to Chartered status.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, investment strategies, and tax implications.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and report-writing ability.
  • Experience in a similar Paraplanning role within a wealth management firm.
  • Proficient in financial research tools such as Selectapension, Voyant (or other cashflow modelling tools), FE Analytics, and practice management systems.
