My client a leading law firm are currently looking for a Credit Administrator for a 12 month FTC. 

They are seeking a dedicated individual to provide comprehensive support to our credit control team. This role is pivotal in maintaining a steady cash flow by efficiently and effectively collecting the firm’s debts. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, accurate numeracy and literacy, and the confidence to deal with both internal and external clients.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Generate regular credit control reminder letters, emails, and statements to clients and follow up in a timely manner.
  • Review 30-day reminder alerts and maintain relevant notes in the Collections system.
  • Support the Credit Manager with the debt escalation process by drafting Letters Before Action.
  • Monitor the credit control team inbox, deal with queries promptly, and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Provide cover in monitoring the firm’s bills bank account for incoming credits and banking cheques received in payment of invoices.
  • Enter receipts into our practice management system and take card payments via telephone from clients.
  • Answer the Credit Control team helpline, dealing with queries or directing them to the appropriate person.
  • Assist with electronic billing uploads and provide debt detail reports to support monthly debt meetings with Partners.
  • Provide monthly statements of account to clients and/or Partners.
  • Offer general administrative support, including opening and distributing team post.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Confident user of IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
  • Some previous experience in an office environment is desirable.
  • Good communication skills and a confident approach.
  • Proactive, with the ability to use initiative.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm in demanding situations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Team player with an enthusiastic manner.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Working towards or have obtained good grades at Advanced Level or equivalent, and have 5 GCSEs (including English Language) at grades A to C/ level 9 - 4.
  • Maths and English qualifications to a high standard are advantageous.

Please note this role is hybrid working 2-3days in the office
