Overview:This company is a direct lender to small businesses in the UK. We provide unsecured, short-term business loans. We cut the red tape, reduce the paperwork, and eliminate the hassle to get small businesses the finance their business needs fast.

The Finance Assistant will:

  • Set up Direct Debit mandates for all customers
  • Set up customer payments in Lloyds, and make payments within mandate provided
  • Support with Customer Service, eg provide statements to customers, settlement figures, etc
  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions on Xero
  • Process accounts payable, manage invoices and make sure payment terms are met
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts
  • Ad-hoc MI requests, working with the Finance Director

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • AAT or similar accountancy qualification
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Strong communicator with clear speech and writing
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Strong experience in working with financial data
  • Excellent excel skills and use of different functions
  • Effective team player with the ability to work independently, exercise initiative and take ownership of projects
  • Good time management skills to work on deadline driven projects
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Sense of accountability and pride in their work
  • Ideally experience of using Salesforce and Xero
