HFG are representing a leading Lloyds Syndicate in their hunt to find a talented Junior Finance Assistant looking to make their first step into the insurance industry. This role allows you to build a relationship directly with the Syndicate Controller.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the syndicate team with the day-to-day duties.
  • Journal postings.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Profit and loss reconciliations.
  • Working with other departments (Claims, reinsurance and operations) investigating and clearing reconciling items on all reconciliations.
  • Production of various Group reporting deliverables including Premiums, Reinsurance recoverables, Debtors and Creditors.
  • Assisting with all controls, ensuring documentation is timely and accurate.

General Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong Excel/IT skills
  • Attention to detail with a focus on meeting deadlines
  • A strong team player
  • Good communication skills
