Job Title: Loans Administrator
Location: London Harbour Exchange (3 days onsite during training, 2 days onsite thereafter)
Contract: Until 31st January 2026
Rate: £361.00 per day (umbrella)
Purpose of the Role:
The Loans Administrator will be responsible for daily loan processing activities across the EMEA region, supporting the operational functions of the team and providing guidance to administrators when necessary. The role is operationally focused and requires strong back-office experience, with a key emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process daily syndicated and bilateral loan transactions accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to four-eye control and regulatory requirements.
* Handle loan documentation, processing, nostro reconciliations, and associated reporting.
* Collaborate with Marketing, Treasury, and external stakeholders (e.g., financial institutions and bilateral customers) to manage loan processing efficiently.
* Input all loan transactions into Loan IQ.
* Ensure key controls are met throughout the day, monitoring queues and intraday reports.
* Provide cover and support to colleagues across the Loans Administration team when needed.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase Straight Through Processing (STP) without adding operational risk.
* Participate in system testing with relevant stakeholders as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in Loans Administration within a corporate or financial environment.
* Mandatory back-office experience - candidates with middle or front office backgrounds will not be considered.
* Solid understanding of Loan IQ and SWIFT payments, including payment formatting.
* Familiarity with legal loan documentation and loan funding mechanisms.
* Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure zero errors in transaction processing.
* Proactive mindset with a willingness to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements.
