Description
- Assist in maintaining the rent and service charge accounting records
- Support the development of the organisation's financial procedures and systems
- Prepare and post rent and service charge journals
- Ensure accurate and timely rent reconciliations
- Collaborate with the housing team in ensuring an effective rent collection process
- Provide financial advice and support to other departments within the organisation
- Comply with all relevant regulations and financial standards
Profile
A successful Senior Finance Assistant (Rents) should have:
- Relevant accounting qualifications
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of service charge accounting
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance staff
