Loan Portfolio Manager / Asset Manager - City of London

Our client is an established, and award-winning lender that specialises in providing Bridging and Development Finance to their clients.

As a Loan Portfolio Manager / Asset Manager, you will play a key role in the management of the company portfolio. You will act as the main point of contact for developer clients; responsible for overseeing the drawdown of funds at various points during the lifecycle of each project under your management. This role requires someone who is proactive and solution-driven, with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a point of contact for our borrowers for all loans under your management
  • Reviewing construction progress reports and organising drawdowns for clients
  • Visiting project sites to monitor the progress
  • Organising sales of units and security release at full repayment of the loan
  • Liaising and instructing professional advisers e.g., solicitors, monitoring surveyors and valuers
  • Investor/funder and internal reporting
  • Updating financial models
  • Receivership and recoveries work, where required
  • Analysing loan ratios and sensitivity analysis
  • Reporting on the status of individual loans you are managing to the Asset Management Team and making recommendations.

Candidate:

  • At least 1 years’ experience within a similar role is essential*
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal reasoning
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel in addition to various internal and external programs and CRM
  • Excellent communication skills
