Salary: £27000 - £29000pa (depending on experience)

About the company: A leading international multi-channel Media group, with a portfolio spanning across print, digital and events (UK & overseas).

Day-to-day duties: Editing, proofing, commissioning, uploading digital content, sourcing images and writing marketing materials

Main responsibilities:

  • Editing and proofing editorial and marketing copy across the publications
  • Commissioning editorial content and maintaining strict deadlines
  • Writing e-newsletters, headlines and other marketing copy
  • Meeting print and digital deadlines and maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Uploading digital content to the company website
  • Using social media to promote news, features and other content
  • Assisting team members during production cycles while managing own workload
  • Liaising with the Sales and Design teams

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree (Media, Editing, English or similar)
  • Excellent editing and proofing skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability to be proactive and work efficiently on your own without supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office packages and a working knowledge of InDesign (desirable)
  • Good team player: friendly, helpful and enthusiastic
