We are looking for a passionate and driven News Reporter with a knack for uncovering exclusive stories. If you have a nose for news and a desire to dig into juicy topics, this role is perfect for you. You will be responsible for breaking exclusive stories that captivates readers for our client’s online home of the most popular paid-for print title in the market. This role offers hybrid working with 2 days in the London office and 3 days working from home.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Generating exclusive news online that stands out from the competition
- Investigating and exposing hot topics such as crime, sustainability, health etc. providing insightful analysis
- Developing specialist knowledge of and contacts within the retail industry
- Writing and uploading daily and breaking news
- Working closely with the editorial team to ensure all content meets the highest quality and standards.
- Attending and delivering editorial from industry events
This is an ideal role for a News Reporter with 1-2 years’ experience, ideally from a B2B background, with a proven track record or sourcing and writing exclusive news articles. You will understand how to source, collate and analyse data responsibly and have a good understanding of media law and ethics. You will also have demonstrable experience of building contacts and working collaboratively within a team. The ability to thrive under pressure is essential as are strong organisation and great planning skills, plus the ability to hit deadlines.
