Principal Medical Writer

• Independently-owned medical communications organisation.

As a Principal Medical Writer, you will still have hands-on content creation responsibilities and will work across deliverables ranging from advisory boards through to slide decks, manuscripts, websites and other medical education materials.

In addition, you will have a varied role which will also include responsibility for:

• Line management – direct leadership and management for a team of Writers; reviewing all materials produced by the team.

• Project leadership – managing and leading all client projects, ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest quality and that briefs and timelines are adhered to.

• Business development – identifying new business opportunities with both new and existing clients; presenting new business ideas to clients.

• KOL liaison – collaborating with KOLs and HCPs as required on material production; signing off all materials for production.

Requirements for the role:

• At least 5 years of medical writing experience gained from working in a medical communications agency.

• Line management, mentoring and coaching experience – of a writing team.

• Experience of new business development – ideally with experience of pitching to clients too.

• Knowledge and/or experience of Cardiovascular and Diabetes – this is desirable.
