The Role

The company is looking for a Production Editorial Assistant and is offering the opportunity to work within a brilliant team connecting legal experts worldwide.
A dynamic and varied role, you will be involved in all aspects of the production process including copy-editing, proofreading & creating page layouts. In addition to assisting the production team, you will be responsible for your own portfolio of titles, so it is essential that you are highly organised, conscientious and have a positive mindset. It is also imperative that you are able to adhere to their workflow policies.
The Product
As a Production Editorial Assistant, you will primarily be involved in the production of their legal publications. The ICLG series provides indispensable information from leading legal minds to empower learning across their global community of law firms, businesses, governments and high net worth individuals. The GLI series brings crucial discussion points into focus, advancing the industry and delivering educational thought leadership to their global community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the production of certain titles.
- Coordinating the submission of material, copy-editing chapters and creating page layouts in accordance with their house style.
- Proofreading content.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new clients throughout the production process.
Skills and Qualifications
- A natural ability for attention to detail.
- The ability to pick up new processes and procedures.
- Sound editing and proofreading abilities, with an impeccable grasp of the English language.
- The ability to manage a sizeable workload and work to tight deadlines.
- Commendable project management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
A working knowledge of InDesign and PaintShop Pro would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
