We are seeking a dedicated Technician to support our Professional Cookery and Hospitality courses, providing a real-world experience for our learners in this creative and fast-paced industry.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide daily support to the catering team, ensuring smooth operations within the kitchen.
  • Supervise and assist students in the catering kitchen, helping them to apply their learning in practical settings.
  • Prepare ingredients and maintain an organised kitchen environment.
  • Manage stock levels and maintain an up-to-date inventory of equipment.
  • Assist teaching staff during practical demonstrations and culinary sessions.
  • Support the planning and execution of 'Theme Days' and other special events, enhancing the learning experience for students.
  • Engage with staff, students, and the public, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified to Level 2 in Catering/Hospitality.
  • Proven experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of stock control and health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service and support to students.
