Role Overview:
As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing AI-driven solutions, particularly focusing on automation and large language models, to solve complex business challenges. You will also ensure data quality through robust data lineage practices and maintain comprehensive data dictionaries. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models, with a focus on large language models (LLMs) to drive intelligent automation and decision-making.
- Leverage AI to build innovative solutions that optimize processes across the business.
- Implement and maintain automation frameworks to streamline data processing, reporting, and other key workflows.
- Ensure data lineage is properly tracked, providing clear visibility into data transformations and usage across the organization.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries that document all data assets, ensuring transparency and consistency across the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and business intelligence, to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies.
- Analyze large data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements in AI, machine learning, and data management, incorporating relevant developments into the company's data strategy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Expertise in AI and machine learning, with hands-on experience working with large language models (LLMs) such as GPT or similar technologies.
- Strong proficiency in automation tools and techniques, with a track record of implementing data-driven process automation.
- Solid understanding of data lineage and its importance in maintaining data integrity across systems and platforms.
- Experience in building and managing data dictionaries, ensuring consistent data governance across the organization.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and experience with data science libraries and frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract meaningful insights from large and complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with financial data or in the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards relevant to financial services.
