The Role
Working Mon-Fri from their Piccadilly Circus offices, they’re investing in a Data Scientist to join their growing global team. They’re looking for a skilled and confident individual to join them in the delivery and success of their flagship product, which addresses a global market for consumer mobile engagement and mobile commerce. As their Data Scientist you will work on some exciting projects to advance the company’s Product offering to their clients and end customers. You will sit in their technical and engineering team, and have responsibility for acting as their Data Scientist/Engineer on the projects you are involved in.
Skills and Qualification
Experience in data visualisation and presenting data in graph or pictorial format
Proficiency in designing algorithms and using statistical and problem structuring methods
Ability to clean and validate data to ensure uniformity and accuracy
Ability to use linear and non-linear regression, logistic regression, models and classification techniques for data analysis, clustering, dimensionality reduction, k-NN and pipeline
Machine Learning (supervised & unsupervised learning paradigms, and theory behind common model classes)
Proficiency in mathematical computing
Proficiency in various programming languages such as Java, C, Python, R along with strong coding skills
Hands-on experience with Machine Learning frameworks (like scikit-learn, Tensorflow or PyTorch)
Experience or knowledge of AWS would be beneficial but not required
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industry with live solution deployments
Experience working in technology and software organisations
BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred
Experience working with ecommerce related data sets would be a big plus.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Product Managers to decompose problem statements and design practical, valuable technical solutions to solve these.
Development of Machine Learning and statistical solutions to derive insights from complex interlinked datasets.
Deployment of Machine Learning models into cloud-based environments.
Development of dashboards and data visualisations to present insights and analysis.
Implementation of data security and privacy best practices across all work.
Communication and presentation of technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, internal and external.
Line management and mentorship of a team of junior Data Scientists and Analysts.
Maintaining an awareness of developments across their industry, and any new tools and technologies in your areas of expertise.
