An exciting opportunity to join a growing fin-tech! This role focuses on collecting, cleaning, analysing, and documenting date, while working across credit cards from minim payment to arrears management.

THE COMPANY

This business is a start-up credit card provider servicing sub and near prime customers. They are growing rapidly and are looking for a detailed data specialist to work across their credit card.

THE ROLE

As a Data Specialist, you will:

  • Develop clear, structured documentation that explains credit card processes, including how minimum payments are calculated, statement generation time lines and triggers, due dates in relation to payment schedules, and arrears tracking.
  • Create examples and use cases to simplify complex calculations for a variety of audiences.
  • Analyse credit card transaction and account data to ensure the accuracy of calculations and business logic.
  • Provide insights to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Write clean, well-structured code to support data extraction, analysis, and reporting, while building data quality checks alongside analysis and reports.
  • Follow best practices in version control to ensure code quality.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong experience in data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of credit cards, including payment calculations, and statement generation.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualisation tools like Power BI.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a growth mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence peers and stakeholders.
