About the Role: As a Financial Data Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in gathering and validating essential financial data related to UK social housing. Your work will directly contribute to the success of their publication, providing vital insights to stakeholders in the affordable housing finance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify key datasets for publication ???
- Extract specified data from annual accounts in PDF format and input it into the data systems
- Oversee and cross-check data entered by colleagues for accuracy
- Gather financial statements and key documents ??
- Build and maintain relationships with contacts at data suppliers, including regulators and government departments
- Assist in planning and collecting new datasets
- Conduct surveys and write data-led reports
- Support the Data Editor in enhancing best practices and processes
- Writing reports in a journalistic style about the data
Key Skills:
- Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel) ??
- Highly numerate with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience in finding and inputting financial data accurately
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and accounting terminology is a plus
- Excellent writing skills, particularly in financial subjects (advantageous)
