Our client, global music digital rights/licensing organisation working with independent labels across the world is seeking a Junior Data Analyst. This rapidly growing business requires support to extract meaningful insights from royalty and usage data.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Working to understand internal and external data requirements and addressing data-related inquiries in collaboration with the Senior Data Analyst and Business Analytics team. • Producing scalable and repeatable reports and dashboards across data sets that include short form video, UGC, and subscription streaming. • Identifying commercially relevant trends using data visualization tools. • Using SQL and the inhouse data lakehouse to extract data and run analysis with robust results. • Maintaining complementary sources of analytics data across financial, royalty, and usage data with proactive compilation, reconciliation and monitoring. • Supporting with the provision of actionable insights and data driven analysis for the company’s clients, working with the Director of Insights to produce reports. • Optimising internal process within the Reporting and Insights function by implementing automated processes. • Working with Data Operations and Tech teams to enhance data quality and data completeness.
Requirements:
• Solid working knowledge of any of the following: SQL/Python/R is essential. • Honours degree in Data Science/Economics/Statistics/Business Analytics or similar. • Demonstrable analytical skills, to include mining, evaluation, and analysis. • Experience using data visualisation skills, and knowledge of Tableau is advantageous. • Able to read, interpret, and verify data from multiple formats. • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical approach. • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. • Able to identify challenges and opportunities within processes. • Self-motivated and willing to work within a team.• Previous experience in the music industry is advantageous.
