Assistant Town Planner - Leading Planning Consultancy - London

Are you an ambitious town planner looking to develop your career within a dynamic and well-respected consultancy? We are working with a leading independent planning consultancy based in Central London that is looking to expand its team with an Assistant Town Planner.

The Role

As an Assistant Town Planner, you will work alongside a team of experienced professionals on some of London's most exciting and high-profile development projects. This consultancy specializes in delivering complex planning strategies across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You will be involved in all aspects of the planning process, from research and policy analysis to preparing planning applications and supporting senior team members on major projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.

  • Conducting planning research and site appraisals.

  • Monitoring and interpreting local and national planning policies.

  • Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.

  • Supporting senior planners on a range of high-profile developments.

About You:
  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited preferred).

  • 6-24 months of planning experience, ideally within a consultancy or local authority.

  • Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills.

  • A keen interest in London's development landscape and planning policies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
