Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting one of our long established clients in the London region who are looking to recruit an Infrastructure Town Planner to the team on a permanent basis.

Your roles and responsibilities will consist of the following:-

  • You will be responsible for day-to-day management of section or project budgets including Work in progress on projects within area of responsibility.
  • You'll gain understanding of the importance of financial success and takes responsibility to act in the interest of achieving it.
  • You'll be responsible for interpreting, organising, researching, analysing, and executing a major project and or medium scale projects.
  • You'll gain responsibility for fee control, technical direction and effectively manages senior client liaison.
  • You'll build the ability to manages medium projects or several small ones with complex features.
  • You'll have involvement in drafting and managing planning applications, pre-application enquiries and appeals.
  • You will undertaking basic planning appraisals and research
  • Provision of guidance to engineers/architects on the production of drawings and supplemental planning information in relation to planning submissions
  • You'll create and prepare fee proposals to generate new business.
  • Build experience managing clients throughout the planning process.
  • Assisting and managing community engagement, committee meetings and public examinations.
  • Communicating with all stakeholders involved in the planning process and negotiating positive outcomes for the client.
  • Attend occasional Site visits and client meetings.

Ideally The Successful Candidate Will

  • Hold an RTPI accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline
  • Be a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute or be working
    Have at least a year working in the planning industry in either the public or privates sectors.
