An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lead Planning Engineer to join the data centre division of an established construction business based in London. The Lead Planning Engineer will join a dynamic team and will lead the planning efforts for their thriving data centre division.

The Lead Planning Engineer will play a pivotal role in the successful planning and delivery of hyperscale date centre projects for key clients across the UK. They will be responsible taking a lead in planning complex data centre projects through all phases - from tender to contract stages.

The Lead Planning Engineer will utilize their expertise to shape project timelines, coordinate resources and ensure delivery aligns with their clients expectations. They will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to develop robust project strategies and ensure seamless transitions from pre-construction to execution.


DUTIES

  • Develop, monitor, and refine detailed project schedules and timelines for data centre projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the bid team to prepare and assess tender programmes, contributing to a competitive edge in the bidding process.
  • Oversee project plans from award to completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives and project milestones.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, providing strategic input to maintain project targets.
  • Act as a planning focal point, liaising with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively to meet programme demands and support project success.
