My client, a thriving UK-based Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy specializing in Civil Engineering, is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Principle Civil Engineer to join their expanding team in London. Key Responsibilities for a Principle Civil Engineer
- Lead and manage a small team of engineers, overseeing the delivery of work packages with minimal supervision.
- Ensure timely submission of deliverables, technical reviews, budget monitoring, and commercial management of projects.
- Support the development and performance of professional staff through guidance, training, direction, and feedback.
- Engage in the design of both temporary and permanent works, ensuring high-quality standards and the right solutions from the outset.
- Provide internal team leadership in implementing engineering solutions.
- Lead day-to-day technical discussions and collaborations with other designers, contractors, and clients.
- Ensure adherence to technical briefs and project requirements.
Qualifications and Experience for this Principle Civil Engineering role:
- Strong academic background with postgraduate qualifications in civil or structural engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Chartered status in civil or structural engineering with membership in relevant professional bodies.
- Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
- Proven experience in a dynamic engineering consultancy environment.
- Extensive experience in tunnelling and underground space on major infrastructure projects.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Proficient in BIM and other design software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant standards, legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
