Job Title: Senior/Principal Town Planner
Location: London
I am working with a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy dedicated to delivering sustainable infrastructure and development projects across various sectors who are expanding their London team and are therefore looking for Senior or Principal Town Planner to support our growth.
Job Overview: The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of the team, working on major infrastructure and development projects that focus on sustainable development, Net Zero, ESG, Biodiversity Net Gain, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
路Act as Planning Lead on projects across diverse markets and sectors.
路Engage in bid preparation, tender submissions, and framework responses.
路Serve as lead consultant for multi-disciplinary projects, overseeing project management and delivery.
路Provide mentorship and support to junior colleagues and Planning team leaders.
路Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment with environmental, engineering, and design professionals within the UK and internationally.
路Work with market and client leads to support business growth and development opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
路A relevant Planning degree; RTPI membership is desirable.
路Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
路Experience with the EIA process.
路Knowledge and experience in Strategic Planning and Planning policy.
路Understanding of TCPA, DCO, TWAO, or equivalent applications.
路Ability to work well within multi-disciplinary teams and contribute effectively as an individual.
路Capability to prepare accurate, well-presented reports and deliver high-standard presentations.
路Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to rationally explain and discuss planning issues.
路Flexibility to apply knowledge and experience to various planning-related tasks.
路Proven ability to develop client relationships.
路Experience in work winning and supporting market growth.
