Senior Town Planner

An exciting opportunity has presented itself for an ambitious Town Planner to join a close-knit central London consultancy. My client is passionate about bringing creativity, sustainability, and big picture thinking to planning, and is looking for a confident and dynamic Senior Planner to join the team!

About the company

My client works primarily with property and energy developers, strategic land promotors and the public sector. They are currently working on a portfolio of residential, student accommodation, co-living and co-working, retirement villages, mixed use, and low carbon energy projects. The team are also working with partners on major urban extensions and new settlements.

About the role

The successful applicant will work on all stages of a project, from site selection, pre-application research and discussions, management of specialist consultants, public consultation, report writing and post determination work, including planning appeals. You will assist the team in delivering planning consents for major developments and will also provide strategic sustainability advice and act as sustainability champion on major projects!

Candidate Requirements

  • Hold an RTPI accredited degree or qualification.
  • Must be MRTPI Chartered planner, or soon to submit.
  • Post graduate experience, at Senior Planner level ideal or a Planner looking for a step up.
  • It is essential that you are confident with excellent inter-personal, written, project management and communication skills.
  • Be able to work from your own initiative and remain self-motivated.
