The Company:

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a Spanish based company specialising in Renewable Energy asset management and advisory services. Established for nearly 20 years and headquartered in Seville Spain, my client manages a large portfolio of solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects around Europe They are looking for a UK based Town Planner to work on their exciting projects around England! This role is fully remote and offers a competitive salary.

The Role:

Due to continued success and projects won, my client is looking for a Town Planner to work on UK projects. The successful candidate will be completing site visits around England, meeting with UK based colleagues in their London office, and visiting the Head office in Seville Spain! The UK based team is expanding, and all members work remotely. As a Town Planner, you will be preparing and submitting planning applications for renewables projects, including solar panels and renewable battery sites.

Key details about the role:

  1. Fully remote working;
  2. Ideally based in England for site visits (a personal vehicle is required);
  3. Occasional travel to Spain (2 or 3 times a year, all expenses covered);
  4. Periodic visits to our central London office (all expenses covered);

Key details about you:

  1. Experienced in drafting planning reports;
  2. Skilled in managing sub-consultants and obtaining quotes for work;
  3. Capable of conducting background research and reviewing planning policies;
  4. Willing to provide general support to the team as needed;
  5. Enthusiastic and eager to learn;
  6. Commercially minded;
  7. Able to work independently and actively participate in meetings (both virtual and in-person).
