Job Opportunity: Town Planner - Ruislip

Are you an experienced Town Planner with a passion for shaping the future of residential development? We have an exciting opportunity for a Town Planner to join a leading residential developer based in Ruislip. You'll play a key role in shaping sustainable communities and driving forward innovative planning projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and design of residential developments, from initial concept through to implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure planning applications meet all relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications and appeals.
  • Provide expert advice on planning matters and contribute to development strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national planning policies.
  • Work on the preparation of technical reports and project documentation for development schemes.
  • Attend and present at planning committees, meetings, and public consultations.

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (MRTPI qualification preferred).
  • Proven experience in town planning, ideally within the residential sector.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with local authorities and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of GIS and planning software.
  • A proactive and driven attitude to meet deadlines and targets.
