Job Opportunity: Town Planner - Ruislip
Are you an experienced Town Planner with a passion for shaping the future of residential development? We have an exciting opportunity for a Town Planner to join a leading residential developer based in Ruislip. You'll play a key role in shaping sustainable communities and driving forward innovative planning projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and design of residential developments, from initial concept through to implementation.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure planning applications meet all relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications and appeals.
- Provide expert advice on planning matters and contribute to development strategies.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national planning policies.
- Work on the preparation of technical reports and project documentation for development schemes.
- Attend and present at planning committees, meetings, and public consultations.
Essential Requirements:
- A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (MRTPI qualification preferred).
- Proven experience in town planning, ideally within the residential sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with local authorities and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of GIS and planning software.
- A proactive and driven attitude to meet deadlines and targets.
